Hi, I’m Grace! I’m a student at the University of California, Berkeley, pursuing a double major in art practice and media law and policy. Here I am learning to refine my skills in some of my favorite activities: painting, drawing, design, and creative direction.
My interest in design and creative direction began at UC Berkeley when I joined my first ever art magazine, BARE. Since then, I have been involved with five different magazines on campus, doing everything from directing and photographing to designing and marketing. These magazines taught me the skills I needed to begin working freelance and pursuing internships in creative fields. Most notably was my work for Austelle, where I got to photograph, design, and draw, as well as learn from professionals about marketing strategy and SEO.
Art has been an important part of my life since childhood. I started with sketches of the mountain landscapes where I grew up and have since explored a huge variety of different themes and techniques (I’ve always had a thing for windows!) When I’m not making art or spending time on Adobe InDesign, you’ll find me hiking, reading, spending time with friends, and almost always listening to music.
